Jeff Lolley

Wilson Sonsini, CIO

Speaker Bio

Jeff Lolley leads technology strategy at Wilson Sonsini, where he is building a technology ecosystem as a system of insight and action: an AI-enabled infrastructure that puts intelligence at the firm's lawyers' fingertips and removes the non-billable delays between question and answer. His work sits at the intersection of AI, data, and the business of law. Most firms are buying AI tools. The harder work is building the data foundation, governance, and operating model that let those tools actually change how legal services get delivered, and how a firm makes money.

He brings a particular angle to that work. Before becoming CIO, Jeff spent two decades as a CISO and cybersecurity executive, including leading response to some of the largest data breaches on record and co-founding the legal sector's first cybersecurity consulting practice. In an industry where data governance and AI trust are the gating constraints on adoption, that background isn't separate from the AI work. It is the AI work. Outside the firm, he advises companies building the infrastructure that increasingly runs underneath modern legal practice, and is an active investor in security and legal tech.
